Wednesday Aug 25

I'm grateful that I have a loving and adorable partner; I am grateful that we live in such a beautiful city and that we have so many incredible places within walking distance; I am grateful I have a great job and that I am able to take my sabbatical in two days; I am grateful that I have people that like working with me and I have enjoyed working with them; I am grateful for the amazing production crew assembled for Annie, the show is going to be great; I am grateful for the comps we got from Dawn for this weekend; I am grateful for all friends that include us in their lives.

I am in the planning stages of my production company, Arouet. I am a little nervous of how to actually set it up, is it all about me or do I want to make it a coop. That is the way I want the company to work as I move forward - all profits of the shows and events will be shared by everyone, but how do I kick start it. With the support of friends like Abby and family like John, Nick, and Patricia, the seed money will be in place to get it started. The Gene Pool is such a great play, we have a fantastic venue that is accessible and gay-friendly, now I need to cast a few parts and get the show going. It is going to resonate with folks everywhere and create enough buzz so I can produce the next play, most likely Bernarda Alba. As I write this the vision of the company become clearer and clearer.

First production meeting of Frankie and Johnny went well, I like Ian. He has some great ideas. That trailer could really do something for us. I'm excited about auditions, now I need to get the sides down and send them to Meredith.

This is one helluva time for me. Things falling into place, making sense, finding my purpose.
